The Center is closed for the following holidays:
- New Year’s Day
- Memorial Day
- July 4th
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving
- Friday after Thanksgiving
- Christmas Day (If Christmas falls on a Thursday, the Center will be closed on the following Friday.)
The Center will close at 1:00pm on the following days:
- Christmas Eve
- New Year’s Eve
If any holiday falls on a weekend, we reserve the right to close the Friday before or the Monday after the holiday.
Child Care Assistance
Children’s Word accepts child care assistance from the Iowa Department of Human Services (DHS). Please make sure DHS has your child care provider listed as Sheldon Community Day Care and Preschool/Nursery School. If your provider is listed as Children’s World, it will NOT be accepted.
